Singer Kana Nishino has been chosen to sing the ending theme song to the upcoming NARUTO Shippuuden movie, NARUTO the Movie: The Lost Tower. Her new song, “if” that will be released the same day the movie comes out, July 31.

This will be the anime’s seventh movie for the NARUTO Shippuuden series. Since it’s syndication in 2002, the anime has three movies for the original anime series, NARUTO.

Kana joins the ranks of YUKI, DJ OZMA and Puffy who have all made NARUTO Shippuuden movie theme songs. She will also hold her first nationwide tour, called Kanayan Tour 2010 ~Autumn~ starting September 3 at the Zepp Stadium in Fukuoka. The tour will consist of six performances in six cities throughout Japan.

Kana’s new album “to Love” will drop 6/23 with two versions. A normal and limited edition which contains a DVD with video clips and making, special jacket and some special goods.

Naruto is 5th Shueisha Manga with 100 Million+ Copies in Print

The Japanese producer Shueisha has announced that it has printed 100,400,000 books in Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto ninja manga series. Shueisha will release the 51st volume of Naruto on Friday. Naruto is the fifth Shueisha manga to surpass the 100-million mark; among others, it follows in the foosteps of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece pirate manga (189 million copies) and Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball action manga (152 million copies).

Viz Media will publish the 48th volume of the manga in North America in June.

4th Naruto Shippūden Film Titled, Dated for July 31

The official websites for the Naruto anime films have relaunched with the title and date of the fourth Naruto Shippūden film (and 7th Naruto film overall): Naruto Shippūden: The Lost Tower on July 31. In this “dimension-crossing” adventure, the title ninja character Naruto will travel back in time and meet his father, the Fourth Hokage Minato Namikaze. Masahiko Murata is directing as he did for the last film (Naruto Shippūden: Hi no Ishi o Tsugumono). Junki Takegami, the television series script supervisor and the writer of the three previous films, wrote the screenplay.

Can’t wait to see the new Naruto Shippuden movie.  The plot sounds interesting already, I wonder what Naruto’s reaction will be after meeting his father. .  🙂
